Itinerary

1st.  We make a short stop at Los Limones cemetery, in here, your tour guide will explain you one of the biggest traditions that we have in Mexico "Dia de Muertos" or "Day of the Death". A tradition where we honor our relatives that are no longer with us.

Duration: 15 Minutes

 

2nd. On this stop, you will learn about the local tradition of breading different types of roosters.

Duration: 15 Minutes

3rd At La Noria, we visit one of the biggest and most important saddlers in town, the Salas family factory, where they make sandals, belts, leather masks and elaborated saddles. At the same factory, we will have the opportunity to enjoy how Alberto, a local artisan, turns a piece of clay, into an spectacular piece of art. After having a few minutes to walk around this historical town, we will visit Saint Anthony of Padua Church, where your tour guide will talk to you about the history of both.

4th. We will drive through  a Blue Agave plantation before we get to the tequila Factory, in here, your tour guide will explain the process: fermentation, distillation, aging barrels and everything about this ancient beverage to finish enjoying samples from the different types of Agave Distilled that Los Osuna factory makes.

Duration: 50 Minutes

5th. Once we get to El Quelite village, at the Ulama game monument, you will learn about this ancient game played by the Mayans and Aztecs before the Spanish came to Mexico. Your Tour Guide will explain the differences between the Aztec and Mayan game, and why was it for.

Duration: 10 Minutes

6th. At the the Brick oven bakery, you will have the opportunity of picking bread from a huge variety that are baked at every day early mornings. Cinnamon rolls, turn overs, vanilla cookies and lots of other options.

Duration: 15 Minutes

7th.  At the local church: "Virgen de Guadalupe", your Tour Guide will tell you the story of the Virgin, and you will then know why She is the most important for us the Mexicans.

Duration: 15 Minutes

8th. One of the biggest attractions in town is the restaurant "El Meson de los Laureanos" in here, you will have a set up to make your own salsa and tortillas with all local ingredients, you will then take them to your table to enjoy them with authentic Mexican food cooked by local women who have had their recipes for decades and share them with us at this colorful hacienda where the owner of the restaurant was born.

If you hire Private Vehicle, the itinerary will just be a recommendation, it will be up to you on what to do and timing.

Pick up locations are most hotels at Mazatlán area and Mazatlán cruise ship terminal.

• Vehicles will be operating at 60% capacity, unless you hire private.

• Vehicles will be sanitize after every tour or transportation using a product that has Chlorine Dioxide as an active ingredient, this same active ingredient is on 6 products on the “List N” by the EPA and FDA.

• Driver Tour Guide will be wearing acrylic face mask.

• Vehicles will be equipped with masks, latex gloves and sanitizers for passengers in case of needed on the transportation.

• Some parts of the tours and excursions might be done at a faster or slower pace to avoid big crowds.
